The windscreen mount on my sat nav is next to useless it just drops off the windscreen all the time, I think what I need is one of these illusive airvent type mounts.. However they only seem to make these for the TomToms rather than my Garmin, has anyone found one suitable?
why doesnt it stay on, i have the original garmin mount in the clio and a cheapo one off ebay in the van, when stuck on id have to break the mount to get it off without releasing the lever on the sucker...
Windscreen could probably do with a clean, i ve used it in losts of different cars and it falls off in all of them, I reckon its worn out as it seems alot easier to pull the lever down than it used to be.
Mines the 300 nuvi, got it for Christmas last year, Garmin makes really good kit.
It should stick like glue, are you sure you are attaching it properly? I not might be a defective suction cup, you can get a replacement dirt cheap on eGay.
Got a Streetpilot C510d here, but the Nuvi ones are much better, especially the new ones.
Also, what I have done is hook the charger directly to my car battery (or more specifically, a qualified installer has!) so no wires on show and can put the unit right in the corner of the windscreen out of view. Looks a lot neater.
