Gaz or FK Coils?

Looking at getting a set of FK (£450ish) or Gaz coilovers (£460 ish). My mate had Gaz on his Zetec-S and the kit wasn’t great but it does have adjustable dampening which the FK’s don’t. I had a set of Avos on my Zetec-S and was really impressed with them for the £500 I paid it’s a shame there isn’t a kit for the 172 L

I know a few people on here hate Gaz not sure if this is because they like to follow the pack or if its from personal experience.

What is the FK build quality like as I know a few people from on here have them but cant say ive ever seen a set in the flesh.

Depends what you want them for, i've got Gaz of my cup but i use it for track days, perfect for them, but a bit harsh on road

I had Gaz coilovers on my 182 and found the handling to be unpredicatable and crashy on the road.

This is true Fred, i was young and stupid when i had my zetec-s and had my avos adjusted SO hard when the car was rocked the only thing that would move was the tyre walls. After growing up and reading up this is obviously not the way to go at all.

I assume the FK's still have auto adjustable damping, do they get harder the lower the car is as ive heard some kits do this.

FK all the way my Gaz are so hard had a wee race on the back roads last night had to set the back to the softest setting tried the hardest setting at the start and the car bounced all over the road at one point I thought i was going to crash as the car was not stable over speed

No point in adjustbale unless your realy interesting in spending a load of money on stuff with multi way adjustmant.
