Not done much to the car over the winter except so normal maintenance, clean etc

Fitted a rain light

Built a new panel on the centre console including a USB port for charging the gopro while on the track

Bought another set of speedlines and some Dunlop wets

And gave it a good clean ready for the ring and spa next month.

Is that a Circuit Days event for Spa and a TF or closed Ring event?

They are both days ran by Circuit days 2nd Nurburgring and 3rd Spa.

I was tempted by the 'Ring/Spa combo but have it a miss and I'm doing DN10 instead, you heading out to do that?

Thanks mate, I was going to do DN10 but it's too close to the missis dropping so have to give it a miss :-(

I was going to do those dates in mine but was worried about weather so didn’t book! Will see what its like nearer the time so may see you there

Get it booked Ash ;-) if the weather of the past week is anything to go by, it will be great, anyway your seasoned to racing in crap weather hahahaha

The past two times iv been at spa it has been s**t weather but still had a great time, I've bought wets just in case this time.

Also remember the Radisson in spa gets booked up fast.

Haha it's not the rain I'm worried about its snow!

Last year when we were planning on doing Spa in April it got snowed off

Will let you know if I decide to do it though

It didn't get snowed off just the morning cancelled, I was there, the afternoon was ok just a little slippy from the salt.

Ahh that's a bugger, needs must though ehh lol all the best for that though.

Be good to see it on a track sometime soon though, gutted I'm missing the Spa/Ring combo though as I was offered it for a dirt cheap price too that I stupidly turned down

Have you fitted your headlight blank with a duct or is the filter just sitting directly behind the mesh?

Sun strip was a plain black one and I just put a Renault Sport sticker in the corner

Wow I haven’t updated this thread in almost 6 years hahaha

so I still have the Clio

about 5 years ago me and the family decided to move to Australia with that my company said they would pay to move everything over so the Clio came with me

Since then I have been racing on and off over here in Queensland doing sprint events when I can and it has upset a lot of the big boys and what makes it even better is no one really knows what it is.

Also had a coupe of crashed so not as clean as she used to be hahahah

There are Clios over here but I can officially say mine is the the only true uk cup and the Ozzie cup was nothing like the uk spec.

New mods have been:

Ktec/Jenvey ITB kit
Cat cams (sorry cannot remember the number been a few years lol)
ITG Filter
KTEC gen 90 Ecu mapped by Romaro Racing Brisbane
Decat refitted
Catch can and modified oil breather system
Custom Alternator brackets
Custom front slam panel bar
Custom front bumper bar
Carbon roof vent
Lots more weight removed
And I’m sure lots more but it’s been a while

Anyway the old girl is still going and I’ve had it for probably 10 years now and don’t plan to sell.
