gear box oil

just had a new box in well ((second hand)) bit stiff in first will it wear in or does the selector need setting up ?? also how do u check the gear box oil ? thanks

dunno about ur selector but theres a wee butterfly cap between your gearbox and radiator that unscrews and you fill it with oil till the oil is level with it(pouring out).
dont think theres an easy way to check,just fill till it overflows out the hole

Gearboxes dont ware in, if its been stood for a while the selectors may be a bit stiff/dry so jus go easy on it for a few days and make sure you have the correct ammount & grade of oil.
