Gear stick surround (Handbrake, ash tray etc)

How do i remove this as my heater controls have become disconected and i think i need to remove this bulk of plastic before i can remove the controls. Thankyou

No you don't need to remove that at all mate

The little strip under the head unit pops out and a small panel above the cup holders pulls down
then you need to take the head unit out to get to the screws for the climate control panel
A real fiddly job but easy enough done
