gearbox issues (manual speedo)

ok for my build it has come of time to uprate the gearbox.

i have have spoken to advanti who will sell me a box he has built with:-

Maxi LSD with bolt on crown wheel
Solid Driveshafts
Stright cut dog gears
Dog gear leavers
high strengh bars and rods
shorter final drive
uprated bearings etc
re-enforced stock case

but its built in a psh2 case (mine is a psh1 with manul speedo)

so how can i run the speedo with a psh2 box? i have ABS but still have the original psh1 UCH

Ok IMO forget it your using a stack dash anayway arn't you? And you PAS doesn't need a speedo input does it?

I'd personaly upgrade to a Mk2 abs system and use that for your speedo output. if not well use a speedo output from one of the wheels ABS sensors.

You could get the speedo to work but you need th phase 1 box realy for simplicity but as said i woulnd't try and fix it. else your going to be stuck at later dates when you chnage the gearbox to always needing one with a gearbox sesnor sort the issue of using any gearbox out now and iridicate the issue.

Well use the ABS system for the speedo get a phase 2 if needs be.

when the avanti LSD is fitted.. you cant fit the speedo sensor

They are desinged to use different inputs.

Other option is to strip the dah down and stick a different set of of dials in it desinged for different inputs etc.

its not the dails thats the problem! where do i fit the imputs!

Sensor which works off a stud or something, sort of like how an ABS sensor works

You can get ph2 gearboxes with the mechanical drive for the speedo, think it was the early 172's that had them. I have 2 other phs2 gearbox casings with the speedo drive sitting at ali's house if you need them.
