Gearbox oil leak, how to fix? Is it linked to the noise/vibration?

I changed my O/S driveshaft today as I have a squeel/binding type/noise sensation when really giving it the beans.

The CV gaiter was ruined so I assumed this dry joint was the issue.

While I was under the car, I noticed that there was a leak around the gearbox where the bell housing mates to the block.

Once the driveshaft was fitted, I went for a spin but the noise is still there, could this be the diff' running low on oil?

The vibration is only really noticeable when going up through 2nd due to the torque. If you shoe it off of a roundabout, it's more noticeable.

How do I cure this leak?

renault driveshaft i assume??

sounds like the diff is s**tting itself

any vibrations?
No vibrations Fred, no drone, just the noise when giving it the beans. It's almost like a bearing that can't quite match the speed of the drive.

The driveshaft has been changed matey.

couldnt be the gearbox mount resonating (sp) could it?
That has been suggested by a mates dad.

It's strange how it only resonates/vibrates at very high revs, although the frequency is probably only sufficient at high rev's to affect it.

I'll change the gearbox oil and tweak all of the visible bolts underneath.
