Gearbox question

I was wondering if a 2000 clio 1.2 8v gearbox will fit my Vreg(99?) clio 1.2 (non 8v model)?

It will fit

However check to see if you have a speedo output in your car box (depend if you have ABS or not) if you do and the other box donesn't then you won't have a speedo if you fit the box.

ABS meaning anti lock brakes? Im confused. My car has ABS, the gearbox is from a slightly newer clio so surely it would have ABS too?

Not for definate it was only standard fit 2002 onwards iirc.

Yep ABS is anti lock brake.

Always check for the sensor I've seen a car with abs and the gearbox sensor on a none RS before.

Not sure what you mena if you r car doen't have a spedo then won't matter you can use any gearbox. If you have one and you want to keep your speedo working and milage then you need a gearbox from a car with a speedo sensor.

Ok thanks for your help
