Gearbox washer - help needed asap

I've got a new oil filter through and the washer that was given with it is one of those there it is rubber in the middle and metal on the outside. Is this the correct one?

I tried using a copper washer a few weekends ago and it's leaked everywhere!

Forgotten the name of the one described above its on the edge of my tongue haha

in theory you should be able to use either. The copper one may have leaked if it was slightly too big.

I think that might have been the issue mate!

Today I'm changing gearbox oil, replacing selector seal not in that order though haha. Then doing a service

That is the correct washer.

Sorry guys was getting confused. I'm talking g about the gearbox washer. I'm about to use this however it's not a tight fit around the thread! Is this still okay to use?

On inspection it looks like the copper one I used didn't invoke any leaking! Seemed nice and dry around there so god knows where all the oil pissed from all of a sudden. Surely not that much could come from the selector shaft in the space of two days. Puddles everywhere I went

copper or dowty washer doesn't matter, can use either

I have dowty washers for the sump and copper crush washer for gbox.

Yeah, dowty washer (rubber and metal) for sump and copper for gearbox on mine.

Could use either though really.
