Gears of War, superb game. At first it was a tad hard, with all that aiming palava and the controls for a first time 360'er. However, I got into it over the Christmas period and its class now. Really good game. How f*cking good is the long range sniper rifle? Oh yeah :approve:

One thing... my girlfriend wanted a blast on it last night so I set up an account for her on the 360 Dashboard and let her go on it. What I was wondering was, has her new game overwritten my saved game? As far as I'm aware, there didnt appear to be any other Save Game slots on the game, and it was saving to the same location. Does that face that we have both got an account on the dashboard mean it will Save in a different location, say under her name and not mine? I damn hope so, as 1 Save Game slot is utter pish and I'll have to start all over again (ok, not such a bad thing), which in turn will erase her progress no doubt.

Anyone know? Cheers ears...

The profiles are seperate, so just have one profile for your mrs and one for you, they're completely seperate! Online is where its at!

run! haha it's pretty simple just have to be quick, try and get him stuck behind a wall in a room, so you can just leg it in the next room...

Yeah keep running. Stand infront of a doorway and he'll run right at you. Move out of the way and he'll smash through it, the stupid blind c*nt. Keep doing this until you get into the courtyard. Then when he runs at you, dodge and use the Hammer of Dawn (class) on him. Do this about 3 or 4 times and he'll be dead. Aww... kinda feel sorry for the freaky short sighted b*****d now. But I'd still go back and do it again. Scary stuff when he appears at 2am in the morning. I didnt even invite him round. Total party crasher.

depends what part of the game your talking about.. the first time with the beserker just get it to run into the pillars opening up the sky so you can hit it with the hammer of dawn, which will conviently be lying around near the beserker !

Huh? The Hammer of Dawn is already in your arsenal the first time around from a previous level. Well it was when I played it.

It is a class game, i'm at the bit with Raam at the end, seems like a short game though?

One thing that has really pissed me off is the Save points, everytime I do "continue campaign" it always starts me from the very beginning? I have to go to Load Previous Chapter everytime? Anyone else have this?

Panic over, two profiles = two save slots.

Gemma also had another go last night, and got stressed out trying to beat the Beserker so knocked it off after the 12th go.

i finally got round to buying this game last weekend, as EVERYONE was raving about it. I just used to say that it aint my type of game, then id hear back off people that it wasnt their type either, but its one of the best games they've ever played.


so i bought it.... hate it.



best game ive ever played must have to be cs 1.6 for PC. and the concept is so simple to, yet i never used to get bored of it. had played that game for 5 years before i stopped about 6 months ago

Ollie, you need to get into it. I didnt like it at first, but now its superb. Its like that with a few games, you need to play them and get the hang on everything. Although I for one will admit I dont like Halo/Halo 2. Hmm.

thats my problem... i get to boted easy, and am very fussy, so if a game isnt that easy to get into at the start i wont bother, happens with most games, im very hard to please :rasp:

But ive never been into games that arnt realistic at all, by this i mean monsters and aliens and shitty lazer guns etc etc.

I finished it yesterday, probably took a total of 10 or 12 hours playing time. I am in no way a "hardcore gamer" As Scutch said it took me a while to get used to the 360's controller and the game control.

Think he was referring to Halo and the monsters part of GoW. Its a cracking game, and no doubt I'll finish it before too long. It has been slated because its so easy to complete, but still took the Best Game of 2006 crown. It frustrated me at first because I kept getting killed going at everything gung ho, but you learn new things the more you play, such as regenerating health and the like. The Sniper Rifle is superb, too
When I complete it, I'll probably have a blast on Hardcore difficulty
