  172 SPORT PH2
ok so today i managed to change the cabin filter & air filter, but it started to rain so i failed to get the spark plugs in.... anyway...

I replaced the cabin filter, does the arror on the cabin filter point towards the right on side of the car.. like >>>> as there was an arror pointing that way so assumed the air goes in that way... so hopefully i put that in ok just needed to check >? ???

and on the air filter, the carb was like a bit oily not alot but abit for me to notice, is that ok? i cleaned it off, and also there was some on the inside of the rim of the plastic tubing that goes into the carb ??

I hope im right lol, im a complete nookie on cars, but im not scared to take the challenge on :p

Hi,

If you have the new spark plugs why not try different size sockets on the end of them until you find one that fits? Once you've got one that fits, use that to undo your old plugs.

You need a spark plug socket, or at the least a deep reach socket, 14mm i think but dont take my word on it.

Word of warning, screw the new plugs back in with your fingers until they go tight. Very easy to cross thread on the aluminium head, as a good friend of mine found out once lol.

when you say do that, should i just give it a final twist of the wrench just so its secure? just that tad more?
