The garage I take to get tracking done will let me have a look round when on the ramps so will give everything on the arms a quick going over with some sockets!
apparently you cant warp a set of disks!! there was a guy on hear going on about how he spent 10 years or so working on race car brakes n he says you cant warp disks. very interesting read
Had this on my old Laguna GT. I removed the discs and had a look to see if they were Warped with a DTI but nothing. So after read into it I found out that after very hard breaking off the motorway I had been daft and left my foot on the pedal once stopped. Turned out that I had made a hard spot on the disc by doing this. I was not sure so tested them in work and was correct. With luck the car was only 6months old so just took it back and they did it on warranty. But the only fix is new discs and pads.
Have you got another set of pads just to try? When we were at Snetterton the other month I glazed my pads, that gives a very similar feel. Might be worth just trying some new pads.
Lol I was only joking, but I don't need them yet. They cost me £37 each from GSF about 5 weeks ago.I you want to collect them £60 will do the trick pal
GSF in Norwich pal. Your more than welcome to come and fit them, have a drive and see what happens. If it doesn't clear it up, then swap them back, at least you will know.
I have seen you drive round Snetterton, and know you don't hang about, but it is rather hard to warp discs, you would normally get brake fade before you got the discs too hot to warp them. Especially running ds2500's.
Yea I had no brake fade what so ever, and virtually started doing it just before Snetterton. I played around with the ABS too, anything to do with that do you think?
Its up to you pal, the discs are sat here not doing anything. Like I said, you would have to get them very hot to warp them, and I would have thought your pads would have given up before the discs did.
Might be worth a trip to a garage with the rollers to test brakes, they may be able to help out.
not very really, off to a bbq about mid day, but get here early enough and I will help you out pal. I have pm'd you my number. Give me a call whenever.
