Getting MP4s/AVIs to work on a DVD player?

I use winavi video convertor to turn avi's into dvd , never converted mp4 but apparently it will do them as well . Also dvd santa will convert mp4 to dvd .
If your struggling to find them pm your e mail address and i'll send ya dvd santa
Not hotmail though as it won't accept executable files , thinks they are virus's .

Thanks - the files I want to convert are on a friend's computer, so I'll look into it and let you know if I'm stuck
