Getting the Best out of a silver car

im new too all this buisness of in depth cleaning my car so tomorrow im going to have my first go at using a few products. mainly

Auto Glym Shampoo and conditioner
Auto Glym Super Resin polish
Got Halfords clay kit..didn't wanna get expensive kit just yet incase i f**k it up or dont use it properly lol
and got a wax too seal the polish and protect the paint work from s**t.

but i wanna get the car looking almost mirror like so what wax do you guys use or is the meguiras show car shine wax anygood?? any advice would be great just wanna get the car looking really clean for the spring.

I had heard 'Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax' was good on silver supposedly, it polishes and glazes. Then top that off with a wax like Collinite 476
