Basically the fan isn't kicking in

I've replaced the little black relay for the fan!
If I unplug the temp switch the fan kicks in! If I remove the relay it stops! Swapped it with the fuel pump one and the car wouldn't start so I replaced the faulty one!!

Anyway fitted the new one and and checked the wiring and fan still didn't kick in!!

Temp switch wouldn't cause this would it? As it's off the ecu??

Altough when playing with the heaters hot, cold high and low etc the temp gauge was all over the place

Ok the temp gauge moves when the lights are turned on aswell!

Could the switch be knackered?

does the car ever reach proper operating temp (half way)

if on original thermostat its unlikely

the fan is silent on mine anyway so i dont hear it come on if it ever does

you can test slow and fast fan with an rstuner or similar

Yeah it got one notch above halfway where it normally
Kicks in but didn't...

Cant say I've ever noticed the fan on my ph1 or ph2 sports...

Only reason I am is cause I was in traffic and it was quite high!

im going to say coolant temp sensor is dead

Fitted a new one

you sure the cooloant isnt leaking, mine doesnt overheat in traffic and the fan doesnt come on
