God I WANT a 200!!

  Italian 3.2 V6
Seen a White cup 200 in the flesh today for a few seconds, was oncoming in Kilmarnock.. Looks awesome on the road.. Even just for that brief moment!

Keep looking them up on the net n am wanting one more n more!! :( need to test drive one (when my local Renault actually get's one in!!)

are they much/noticably quicker over it's brothers straight line!? obv quicker on corners but what about straight line? ..According to evo it is but don't bet on those figures :S

any1 moved from a Ph2 172 to a 200cup? What's mpg n insurance like compared to Ph2 172??

Makes me want to stop spending money on my 172, save n sell up n buy a 200!! :S

I had a look at another GW 200 today, nice car shame it didn't have Recaros and black speedlines though :(

I'd like to run one alongside the 172, i couldn't trade the 172 for one though, as i'd miss it's rawness.

Lower insurance group than the 172/82 IIRC, MPG wise quite thirsty.

  182 (Conversion)
I saw one in the showroom the other week. It looked really nice but you've got to be mad to spend (IIRC) £18k on a French car.

i used to have a 182. I test drove a 200 before the megane which had all the extras. Did i like it? - yes. Did i like it that much over the r27 that id fork out 16k for a clio? - No.

It felt well built , looked good bar the front end and the brakes are awesome. It just didnt feel as exciting as the 182 or as 'urgent'.

just my opinion though

they are very nice cars, drove the AG one at bedford couple months back. i liked it, brakes were awesome.

P4ers- I thought you were looking at mk1 Focus RS's ??

I'd wait a year to so until they've dropped a bit tbh (unless you can get a good deal on one ?)

Although for the money (and if you don't need back seats) i'd be putting the money into a nice mk2 vee.

18k for a cup!? What extras do u have to get that price!? Lol.. I can get good discount off one new tho ;)

Have to buy one brand new or very new. Will be spending £14,000-£16,000 for one.

That's why I am not getting one.

  GW Clio 200
Test drove a 200 for the 4th time on Saturday while my 1.2 was in for it's first mot, was FF AG, anthracite bumper and rear splitter looked
nice, also had leather seats, 80 miles on it and every time i drive one it's better, just need to get my insurance money sorted out and I'll place my order again, thinking FF Red with black speedlines +cup chas obv.

If you haven't driven one yet, do so, won't disappoint im sure :)

Yeah i had one (Clio 200 cup) priced at 15k today.

GW paint
Recaros
Speedline wheels
AC.

Although in fairness he did say he would have to have a word with his manager to try and get it down a bit.

Yeah, I think that was what I got quoted, £14,995 I think.

Steve paid a bit less I think from Stoke Renault for the same spec as you listed.

I would want the AG or LY too which is another £1,200. The stitching on the steering wheel is £30 as well, the list goes on and on.

Really nice car, but twice and a bit as good as a Trophy? I can't condone it. Going to get a T for £6750 and brash about in that for a year and see how prices fair.

No doubting a great car though.

Well, even before i'd driven the 200 I was feeling that the 172 was getting a bit tired and dated, so it had to go or prepare to plough more money into it.
I'm no-good at being a car critic, but for me the 200 gave good road-feel, almost glued to the road. I didn't get to go mad with the 12 year-old salesboy next to me, but the brief bursts seemed promising. It'll do me for going to sainsbury's once a week, that's for sure ;)

that´s massive money for a clio...you could buy an e46 m3 for that!

Speaking from experience, I you don´t need to spend a lot to have good fun on four wheels :)

  Italian 3.2 V6
Yea but it's not new n Costs 3x as much to run n insure.. n most of all it's not a Clio!! Lol hehe!

E46 would b had in the twisties anyway.. Haha!!

  Italian 3.2 V6
Btw, cheers for all input n opinions guys ;)

Any more!?

Still not herd of an actual 200 owner!!

Nor me.

They have no real performance gain over a 197. Granted they might feel a bit more urgent low down, but the difference will be 172 to 182. Splitting hairs imo

I'd go for it if I where you p4ers, if you can afford it why not. Its a lovely car. It will obviously be a lot different to your modded 172 though. You will be less likely to want to put mods on it too because of the warranty etc.

Think i know who you mean mate haha, i didnt have him, i'm relatively familar with one of the other guys down there, in respect of this i gave it the beans as much as possible, onto the A127, in 1st foot down, bleep, change, 2nd... bleep, change, and so on :rasp: so quick, and sounds a beaut.
