Going France - Headlights??? GB Stickers???

  RS Clio 200
couple of questions.... going on sunday to abbeville...

my number plates have an england badge with ENG under them...Legal ones.... do they cover me abroad or do i need a poxy sticker too.

Also, does anyone know if the xenons on a 172 are adjustable, or am i gonna have to take it to renault and get ripped off.

I think you dont need a gb badge if the number plate has GB and the euro sign on it. As for the lights the 172mk1 was adjustable but on the mk2s you have to buy the stickers to change the direction of the beam.

  ST on the way...
Your numberplates with the Eng on them won't be any good, the only ones that get you out of a GB sticker are the proper EU ones with the Gold star circle and UK underneath.

As for the headlights you can get the beam deflectors from halfords to do the job, i've also seen members on here using tape to alter the beam pattern.

When i went over to france about 10% of the cars had the stickers over the lights.

Are they to do with your head lamps or main beam???

Not sure the beam deflectors will work if you have xenons tbh . I think they were designed for normal lights .

Your also supposed to take things like a first aid kit , high vis vest , red warning triangle , spare bulbs etc ..... just if you should get pulled by the police and they want to be pedantic .

Edit :

Just found this . It says the deflectors are no good with xenons mate .
