Going to do a Brake pad test but need help

Okay guys, I know someone who will make me some brake pads for the clio sport 182, but he can't supply the actual backing plates to fit the new material to. I'm looking for someone who would be prepared to send me some (or I can pick up if close enough) old front brake pads for a Clio Sport 182, 2004 (54 plate) non cup. Preferably ones with no pad material left on them but no damage to backing plates, as he'll use these to build the new brake pads. I can then fit the pads to my car and trial them, but knowing how they are on other cars, i know they will be pretty amazing pads. The cost will be higher than DS2500, but for those wanting to do track days etc, these will do the business. I believe some of the Clio owners may have already done this mod. Carbotech XP8's on a Clio sport. Hmm.

Plenty of pads on the market capable of withstanding heavy track use.

Alot of the Evo boys use Carbotech. They are no better than DS3000, or Equiv. track rated pads. Pointless exercise imo...

Most of the people I know who run evo's use XP8's or 10's, some even going to the 12's. Far superior to the ferodo range from what we found, but each to their own. I am tempted to even just try the DS2500's myself first with a new set of discs. Get a comparison.

Mega mega dusty and f**k your wheels and the issue with the brake temps and fade isn't down to the pad, it's down to the fat brembo's and the lack of cooling.

Can't hurt to try tho, at the end of the day, it's more choice to the market.

Be prepared to try several compounds
The 5 guys did this 1st set got destroyed on one trackday, 2nd lasted but didn't stop very well . Latest are fooking awesome on road & track & never give up
