good 50"+ plasma tv??

My dad currently has a 42" LG Plasma which in not HD ready and has no freeview built in, he wants to upgrade and has seen Comet doing a black 50" Panasonic plasma for £599

is this a good tv? or is there any other 50" or bigger plasmas you would recommend??
must have freeview built in
