With the cash flow not at its best at the moment Im looking for a decent set of comps (or anything better than cheap comps?) for the front.

I want to use the existing door cut outs and the tweeters can go in the dash cut outs ( that a decent set up by the way?)

Might stick em in the back when funds allow so I wouldnt mind some good uns

Pricewise Im not sure how much Im willing to spend hence the reason Id like some of you to throw some ideas round and prices, although anyone mentioning the words "Two" and "Hundred" in the price section will be shot on the spot!

Cheers my chappers and chapesses!

  A well built VW

fusions about 70 quid and alpine can be found for 50 quid

thats the road im going down i agree anyone with 200 quid to spend on a set of comp is earning too much money in my book

Phoenix Gold R5.0COMP

they can be found for around £90, bery good overall speaker for the money

though IMHO to get a decent speaker you need to spend upto and beyond £200

spending £200 on in-car speakers is totally unjustified for me - Im simply not in my car long enough to appreciate it.

Dont get me wrong I have a pair of £1400 speakers set up in my room and would never ever even contemplate going for anything cheaper - but I dont sit in my car all night just to listen to my Cds heh.

Ill have a look at the Phoenixs bambam sounds about the price I dont want to go above - and if your recommending them they must be good!

Thanks

Just got myself a set of the Phoenix Gold R5.0COMP

for the fronts in my new 172.

Listened to them in Ripseed/Halfords - sounded perfect for me.

They also had the infinity, focals & pioneer components in there aswell -

might be worth popping into your local Ripspeed for a listen,

(dont forget to take your favorite cd) then

deciding which ones you like then hunting them down on the web cheaper.
