Got a bit of money, what to do.

  Golf GTD Mk7
Hi all,

I've got about 1K to spend on the weee clio. It needs a new exhaust and CAT (soon to be silenced decat) so about 700quid will be going on the BTB (if the GB goes ahead) and decat. what should i spend the other £300 on?

Was toying with popping over to CNC heads in stockport and having the inlets done, but it's RS stamped anyway, so is there any point?

I take it, by looking at your other threads, that you've done suspension, brakes and tyres already?

How about an RS tuner or remap to take full advantage of the new exhaust?

Or vibratechnic engine mounts?

failing that i would spend the 300 on driver training courses, i done one and it improved my track skills quite a bit, a more effective mod than anything else will ever be:cool:

not done suspension yet. Don't know whether to save for coilovers really. Was thinking about Prolines, but don't know if i can be arsed faffing with the fronts

I went to kwik-fit last week as my exhaust had started to rattle, they quoted me £900 for genuine Renault backboxes + £300 for their cat, £1200 for a mild steel system!, or £800 for their full stainless exh + cat(£1100),
I told them i could get a K-tec/ janspeed for around £350 + cat (£280 ish), they then said they dealt with Janspeed and the price was £394 fitted + cat ie about £700!
Kwik-fit or K-tec?
I think it will be K-tec for me!- similar price but a proper exhaust, hopefully.

Was about to say the same. So many people have asked me if I've remapped my Meg, and doing that would be pointless, I'd rather spend the money on learning to drive the car better.
