Got me worried

as im becoming a thread ***** lately i thought id add another

in someone post earlier about traction control the mentioned the car juddered loads as if the engine was really limiting power,

someone mentioned its loose engine mounts - is this correct?
or would they be broken etc??

Is it just a case of tightening them up, as in ones that attatch to the chassis and the engnine? or replacing?

and did all ph2 172's have traction control? if so how do i turn it off??

Yep its probably the lower one, does it make a sort of wub wub wub whiring / nocking when your accelerating hard?

Had same prob with mine just needed tightning

I booted off the line and it kinda juddered like a really harsh t/c, and then i let off and floored it again and it pulled away a treat

its ok when i drive normally, its just from off the line or really slow speed booting it

Do you mean booting it in low gears makes it happen?

If so yes it was the same with my car, didn't notice in 3-4-5 but it was really bad in 1st & 2nd

amy idea on the torque settings?
I may pop into BB tuning as there about 10 miles away and see what they say, and also regarding induction kits and cold air feeds!!

Not sure on the torque, it got done on the last MOT he did show me where it was loose though think it was just one or two bolts needed tightning. I was having a my springs fitted too so I went for the lazy option lol

problem is i do most things myself on my last vauxhalls, renaults is a new ball game to me so i will psoting thousands of threads as i love to no pretty much everything about the car i have.

Right il see what price they charge as il want to have it done right first and id like to watch them do it as well

Well if your confident then get under it and tighten it up yourself!

Look into getting the renault workshop manual CD's it only costs a couple of bucks off ebay. It will help you out no end!
