Literally picked this up about 1/2 hour ago...

Milage not really an issue as full and I mean full history, and also I only do about 4k a year. Bought as a bit of a toy

Considering milage both bodywork and interior are mint..

Ad and figures stated in it are obviously Pie in the Sky, I know that rr reads 20bhp and 30 lb/ft when there's nothing on it.
My days of chasing figures are long gone though, all I know and am interested in is that it feels strong and puts a grin on my face.

You wouldn't have put the owner of the car with the car if that makes sense considering the things he's done.

Am gonna be changing a couple of things over next couple of months, firstly changing filter for airbox and perhaps a stealth exhaust, sub and amp to come out as well. Minor cosmetics, bulbs,aerial,bullets etc......

Looks good, got to say the ph-1's wear the 182 wheels alot better than the 182s themselves. IMO.

They're the best looking 1*2 by far. That is unless you like your RS Clio looking like a Clio Dynamique.

They have a lot more road precence than ph2 models imo. Proper aggressive old school hot hatch looks.

Probably will to be honest. My head says no, however I probably will end up with another. The problem is I wouldn't want another ph1 as they're just getting older and older so will end up money pits, but can anything compare to a ph1 172 in terms of character etc.

The horrific fuel consumption for the same pace as a 172 puts me off the MK3's too.

Before i picked mine up i would have had a glance at a ph2 172/182 but a Ph1 I would have literally broke my neck to look at. As somone said they have way more road presence, suppose its each to their own but i know which model floats my boat
