SORN arrived this morning and Vee is now offically off the road for the winter:dapprove: Well it has been since the 1st November, but I've now just realised how long a 6 months its going to be.

Anyone got any tips for storing it? I've give it a wash and wax, stored in a garage. Left out of gear with the handbrake off. I was going to disconnect the batterty instead of buying a trickle charger. Will this cause any problems?

Hopefully picking up a 172 in December if all goes to plan, so that will put a smile on my face. Until then its on the bus with the commoners.

Cheers.

Dont know why you would want to do this to a v

Only bought it as a toy to start with. Just make me appreciate it more during the summer months.

By the time April 1st comes round I'll be like a fat kid in a cake shop:cool:

And you right, the 172 will keep a smile on my face. I love them.

Out of interest. If the car has its battery disconnected, how long would the millage stay stored in its system before than runs out of juice too?

53 plate 172 ph2 FF, 56K with FRSH. Its a minter if I don't say so myself. One old man owner from new who thinks 4.5K is ragging it. Price Negotiable:D

Not sure about the mileage clock? Alarm will be a problem, but I'm actually bolting fully securing the garage shut this weekend so that shouldn't be a problem.

can you put it on axle stands to stop getting flat spots on the tyres?

Tyres are bald anyway from the last track day so not really that worried. Will need new ones come April. Thanks though, didn't even think of that.
