Great, British & Wet at Castle Combe

"Wet" doesn't quite do this event justice, whilst Saturday was fine we woke up in the middle of the night (camped at the circuit) to the sound of heavy rain, it then rained on and off until about 5pm Sunday, including some epic downpours which tested my equipment beyond the limit...not to mention the CSLs out on track.

Fun weekend anyhow, small grids by Combe standards due to it being a BARC event, but plenty of action and great racing, even club-level refuelling, which was a first for me...

Rain was my fault, was doing a rain dance so I didn't have to change to dry settings on the car lol!

Our awning got mullered too but not until after the rain thank god.

Yep I will be, camping again for the weekend. Got 3 weeks off after next week so I will even be there for the test day.

6th is a test day, 8th & 9th is the Summer Racing Festival...

Just booked a holiday, I land at 5am on Sunday August 9th, so I will definitely miss the 6th and 8th but will drop off my stuff and come straight to Combe on Sunday morning. Result

Almost missed this set, glad I didn't! The field shot is brilliant Chris and I like how you've managed to capture the context in several of them. The blue mini shot is a classic too.

Top notch as always, even better considering the conditions (if it was anything like Fairford then I know how hard it was, rain messed up my 70-200mm.. think it's alright though).
