Grinding from steering

Hey all,

Got a problem and need some light shedding on it.

Just went out to the car a sec ago to garage it for the night (it seen the road today in a very rare outing) and there is a grinding noise when rocking the steering, like a metal on metal noise.

Does it engine on and off so not the PAS. Basically with the wheels slightly pointing to the right there is a point where it grinds something. When you rock the wheel back and to slightly around this point it grinds. Noise seems to come from the passenger side wheel are but not sure

Any ideas?

Check your top mounts, ball joints and under the bonnet see if its catching.

Also check the condition of the anti roll bars bushes and wishbone bushes.
