Gunk in oil cap

Car  work for BMW
So i recently brought my car, took oil cap off today and there was caramel coloured gunk inside.

The car hasn't had an oil change for a year plus it's covered very little mileage in this time and has been sat on a driveway.
Iv cleaned it out and going to keep an eye on it,
Anything I should know or be careful of?

A bit of cream in the oil cap is normal for Clios when used for short journeys or not used for a while.

Check for white/blue smoke from the exhaust, petrol/oil in the coolant, high engine temperatures. All signs of the head gasket going.

Its common thing to happen...its not normally head gasket related and as above...if you don't use the car very much, it will do it from moisture I think.

Yea mate what has allready been said, my mates looked as thick as custard, this was over a year ago, its on over 100k now and still going fine
