H&R coilovers + solid top mounts - Help

Hi, I recenty instaled H&R coilovers and CompBrake solid top mounts on my 172 PH1, today I went to a local tyre company and got the tracking done, it seams that the camber values are a bit way off.

Front - Right = -0º24’, Left = -1º29’
Back – Right = -1º25’, Left = -2º00’

How do I fix these values? I’m looking for -2 degrees all around, do I need do install camber correction bolds in the front? Is it possible that the car is with different height from right to left?

All help welcome, I’m from Portugal, Madeira island, and there are no ‘specialists’ in installing coilovers here.

Thanks

You need to have the Coilovers set up by a garage.

In order to do this, you need camber bolts from Yozza or Ktec, they'll cost you around £40.

EDIT: Just read the last bit of your post again. There has to be someone somewhere that deals with this. Keep looking. :)

Well... I've looked around, and got always the same answer 'That doesn’t need to be set up' or ‘There is nothing to adjust, only the height’.

Does the height influence the camber?

Yea the camber will change with ride height. Did you set up the height adjustment with the weight of the driver?

Whoever told you they dont need to be set up is telling you a big lie.

Coilovers can be set in a number of ways. From Camber to Weight Distribution.

The coilovers will eat through your tyres (as they arnt set on the road evenly)

Yes, I know it's a lie. H&R coilovers doesn’t have 'direct' Camber adjustment, only by changing the height the camber can change, or by installing the correcting bolts. I’m going to take the car to another guy to see what he says.

not true my h&r's have adjustable camber as the top hole mounted to the hub is elongated allowin camber adjustment for the front wheels.

Yes, some are adjustable, some aren't. It's another mystery. Mine aren't. So is it true that if the height is equal the camber should also be equal????

Ok, so I'm in trouble, it seams nobody here (Madeira island) knows how to adjust the coilovers...

Can someone give me some pointers so that I can teach these guys?

If you do'nt have the elongated holes on the H&R's , you MUST get a set of camberbolts and these will definately help you set up the car correctly.

Cost around 40 pounds, 50 euros where i looked last time

OK, I'm waiting for Andrew from yozza to get back to me, so that I can order the correction bolts... will update when I get them installed.
Thanks guys

camber bolts improve thing's no end, had my car setup for 50 quid camber, toe in toe out and tracking, so you shouldnt be paying much more than that. no need for corner weighting

^if you're a track day warrior then there's every need for corner weighting, road car, then not really needed

.. but did you also buy the bolts AND get the car set up for that money ?
