H&R Coilovers

Thats so expensive and not only that but it dont lower more than 50mm at the back which is gay as i want 60mm.

Any other good makes that will give good handling and not to harsh ride. was thinking more around 500 quid coilovers.
Drop loony a message I'm sure he has a freiend who imports them or somehting.

Its a proepr 50mm though mosty likly not like other compnaies who's calims arn't real.

Other good stuf is Leda (£1k+).

H and R are super expensive but then again you cna go to the other end of the cost scale and cut your springs.

I have H&R coilovers for my Saxo, i would pay well over £700 for them. The amount of people who own different cheaper brands who complain of rust, poor fitment and generally poor performance suprises me. I cant fault mine at all, fantastic, very firm ride though but if you drive sensibly then you shouldnt see any problems and on track they rock, significantly less bodyroll and change in direction is immesne. Im saving the pennies now for a set for the clio, if there half as good as they are on the saxo then ill be happy.

any good makes at 500 quid?

Fk's are good a bit lower quality and harder but for the price they are very good. There the minimum I'd ever look at suspenion wise.

I had FK's for my corsa cost me 350 quid and it made the car look good but it was a very rough ride. Then again i was told mine wern't as bad as some peoples who only lowered 40mm. I havnt been in any other cars with lowered suspension so i cant compare.

I assume fk coilovers at 500 quid will be a lot better than 350 ones right?

I fail to understand the logic in spending big money on expensive coilovers then just slamming your car to the floor and make it handle like a bag of s**t. You may as well just cut your springs in half.

It's all about the camber and castor angle on height adjustables.

In reality you are never going to get the best from any set of coilovers unless you change them for each application i.e fast road / individual circuit and so on.

Probably the best and the worst mod if you think about it.

And yes, both my cars run H&R Coilovers LOL

TW*T. You really have no idea do you!! No you dont just slam your car with them. Slammin it can do more bad than good. Obviously you know nothing about camber, height, castor, rake or even anything about suspension setup!

one of the best setups on the market, don't forget to budget for fitting and setup (a proper setup by a motorsport specialist ain't cheap!)

You're the t**t pal. If you actually read my post you'll find you're agreeing with me. Muppet!!

I do understand and if you'll read the original post you'll see that all he wants to do is go low. That's all he's bothered about. "They'll' only go 50mm and I want 60mm" Kind of gives it away and suggests his priority is how his car looks, not how it handles hence the tongue in cheek comment about chopping his springs!

Well i've measured the arches and cause i have 17" i found 50mm is plenty 40 could even be enough. I just HATE gaps in arches.

I'm not talking about performance/lap times/speed etc. It's a more enjoyable drive ontop of any handling and performance benefits IMO.

never had anything but 16"'s.... but it strikes me that Renaulsport didn't just pick the number 16 out of a hat lol. I'm pretty sure they're 16" for a reason.
