basically i skidded the car about 10-15 metres at about 40 mph and now when i drive it at low speeds its like a have a flat! just a thumping noise going around with the wheels! could it possibly be a flat spot on the tyre from where the rubber has come off, as i went back to look at the skid and there was a lot of eagle f1 stuck to the tar-mac! or could i have possibly bent something? the noise doesnt really get any worse with higher speeds infact its a little less noticeable!

have a look at ya tyres? then move car forward half a meter or so and check again?
would thout it get less noticable at higher speeds if bit flat
altho i totally abuse my handbrake and mine are fine.

that said, eagles are softer than what ive got on mine.

check to see if anythings broken or bent, if not it could be a flat spot.

the way to get rid of it i hear you screaming?!

do a phat burnout init bro.

dick, when handbraking there isnt as much weight on the rear wheels so they stand up to it a bit better, all the weight goes forwards when you brake so fair bit of force on them, especially at speed.

eh? why does the weight go forwards? surely it goes backwards if your pulling the handbrake?

sorry that made it sound like i was being sarcastic, didnt mean it to come out like that.

i mean when Patrick was breaking the weight of the car pushes forward as it slows down.

in the other thread about the incident someone said the tyre would be ruined because of it, but it its a relatively new tyre could you not just do a burnout to round off the flat spot?

reminds me of a similar happening on my 02 reg 1.2, after checking it out, it was the discs - literally destroyed and grinding at the pads in a slow abs like manner :S
