Halfords bodyshop things...

I need some spraying done on my car (Both bumpers and the bonnet), keep seeing the halfords adverts, but has anyone used them?

Apparently they are miles cheaper than bodyshops, I'm just worried that I get a shite colour match or a really bad job with them.
I'm guessing my colour will be hard to match too being a dark pearlescent grey?

Any experiences would be cool.

I've heard that they are good, i've never used them for paint though mate. I always use my local car paint shop, they are very good.

To get the best match take your petrol cap in & ask them to match that (even though a car can be one colour, there are different shades of it)

Cool, I might call in tomorrow and see if someone can give me a quote for the work.
Got a mate who works there so might be able to get a bit of discount too.

Can't wait to get the Lupo looking completely mint, some new wheels on the way pretty soon too so it will have a nice fresh look!

Would you mind dropping me a pm when you find out mate? I'm looking around for someone to colour-code the bump strips etc. and touch up my paint, never realised that Halfords could do it though.

Will do mate.
Not long been doing it, I've seen some adverts on TV and leaflets in the shop!

Aye, long story with it!

Was gonna get rid because I wasn't enjoying it as much as I hoped.
Then started to enjoy it, but owe my dad about £10k for work on my house, so thought I'd sell it to pay him off a big chunk of that.
Then he said to not sell it and he'd wait an extra 4/5 months for the money because he knew I want to keep it.

So now it is the idea to get it looking mint. List of jobs:

Spraying as mentioned above
Get the rest of the car highly polished
New set of wheels
Clean the engine bay properly
Treat all the leather
New windscreen
Exhaust rewelded to sit right
New tips welded onto the exhaust

After all of that it should be looking pretty mint, few other small touches as well.

Thanks Ben, Rich.

I'm not worried about paying a proper price, just after seeing the adverts I thought I might save a bit!

Hmm may have to give them a miss then! Had a look around on the internet and I can find plenty of negative comments and very little, if any, praise. On behalf of myself and Pepsi, who would be a better company to turn to, are they usually local comapnies that people use?
