Harness Ancourage Points ?

  M2 Competition
Using the drivers seat as an example...

And do you have three or four points?

The bottom of where the drivers seat belt mounts to the car on your right, the left hand side will bolt to the subframe.

At the rear, the seat belt mounts straight behind the seat for three points, for four points, these mounts, and the seat belt mounts at the side of the car also...

Lol, i didnt explain that very well...

Right, the cup is mine at the rear with three points, and the other pic is sm_wrc's with 4 points.

You need to use the original seat belt anchor points, as these are strong enough to hold the bolts should an accident happen.

Cool. That pic told a thousand words... lol.

The harnesses are far fiddlier than fitting the seats, takes ages to get em set up right. Sweet when its done though.

Need any advice pm us mate... :)

Make sure you thread through the seat holes before fitting the harnesses and also remember to tell your insurance company when you're done.

Aye. My insurance company had it as interior changes, £25 quid a year... :) yay.

Just off out to buy some carpet for the back now, this thread has inspired me!

You can get a Renault Specialist to turn them off through the Renault Clip - such as Rentech or maybe K-Tec, GDI, BB etc. Alternatively resistors and black tape. Maplins is your best bet.

Depends who you're speaking to. If its Maplins then you need to know where the resistors and electrical tape is. Maybe someone on here like Edde might know the exact resistor you need.

If you're talking to one of the tuning companies i mentioned above then say you've fitted harnesses and you need to turn off the airbag light on your dash and that you've heard it can be done using the Renault Clip system. If they have a brain they'll know what you're talking about.

here you go maz .:

and oh my god what a fook difference they make .

wants your in there ain't no moving around .

you can just go that little bit extra into the corner's .

Any resiter between 1.8 and 4 Ohms resisters sorts the light or as Si said get Renault etc them to turn the side airbags off with a Clip.

The computer doens't care what resisterance it sees so long as its between 1.8 anbd 4 ohms.
