harness bar in a halfcage

mounting a bar between the two legs that go down toward the rear arches.

the cage is held on by 4bolts on each legs going to the arch,
and two bolts each leg that mounts to the bottom of the Bpillar,

the bar would be welded in,
however my worry would be, in the even of the an accident,
all the weight would be trying to pull the cage out of the mount!

what material should i make the harness bar out of??
would 3" thick bar be strong enough??

and will the cage be able to hold it??

any advise that doesnt involve fitting a full cage??

brace the main hoop to the original upper belt mounting and it will be a lot stronger. Give your nearest cage fabrication place a call and ask for some seamless tube for a harness bar, it's cheap enough to just use the right thing.

Where are you?
