harness mounting

yes i know, yet ANOTHER harness mounting question!

basically i just want to know if it is all good to mount them on this rear brace bar

now i assume that renault sport put that there when they installed the cage? and it has the right hole in it for the seat belt bolt, so it should be strong enough shouldnt it?

should be safe enough depending on the thickness of the material and how its bolted to the car

hmmm

you see this is what i dont understand, clearly someone has had harnesses attached to it before, its exactly the same colour as the rest of the cage, and is the same thickness as he rest of it

surely when this thing was racing they would have attached the harnesses properly? so thats what making me think it is ok

on the other hand, the amount of force that is applied when a passenger flies forward in an impact is massive! and im not sure if this 'looks' up to the job?

if i crash and it doesnt save me, i give everyone permission to say 'i told you so' in this thread :D

Mark has very kindly looked at the pic for me and confirmed the harness bar was a genuine cup item fitted by a few of the teams so its all good to mount the harnesses there :D
