Have the power fairies been?

I've just passed 8000 miles and have noticed a substantial gain in performance. I'm getting torque steer, squealing tyres on roundabouts and am seeing the gear shift light a lot more often. The car feels like its had a fistful of vitamins and a slap on the arse and suddenly woken up.

It wasn't sluggish before, but blimey...is this normal?

Could a couple of degrees really make that much difference? Its the same temp as yesterday here

Several degrees cooler here today. If you believe all the cold air feed stuff then the ambient temp is just as relevant.

They go quicker the more miles you stick on them. As soon as you start nailing it, it performs better.

It was either at 38 or 48 tho, cant remember which, that i felt my 172 really loosen up
