Hazy Days

  Elise S1 B&C 140
Washed using two bucket method, Meguires Micro fibre mitt, megs shampoo, dried using microfibre cloths, then polished with a 3 stage megs kit (cant remember exact name) by hand. (washed weekly, polished monthly)

Im suffering from some swirling and major hazing at the moment I will at some point by a pc, but until then whats the best product and best technique for getting these out.

Ive tried a few various products and they all reduce the hazing but as soon as i wash it again it looks really hazy like it been through a carwash, and its starting to annoy me, the car actually looks better dirty at the mo lol.

Any help would be great

Oh its only in direct sunlight too it looks mint in the shade.

Until you buy a machine polisher, your best bet is to fill the swirls rather than remove them. To remove by hand takes a hell of a lot of hard work and time.

Use a polish that is heavy in fillers such as AutoGlym SRP. Work in 1'X1' sections using medium pressure for a few minutes and then buff. For protection apply 2 or 3 coats of AutoGlym EGP 24 hours apart.

This only needs doing every 3 to 3 months. Wash as normal.

If you had a full correction done a year ago and the paintwork is now in bad condition it would suggest that your washing and drying techniques are not up to scratch.

I've used der wunder towles, waffle weave jobbies and all sorts. These i found marred and swirled my Black Gold. The above towel didnt, fekkin awesome.. Also (not slating the correction you had) but was it a full correction etc? Some detailers can use filler waxes and polishes to make it appear better than it actually is. These waxes the break down over time, showing the marring and swirls that were not corrected

christ - not good.

isnt it best to get a super absorbant towel and stick that over the car and let it take the crap up while you stand have a cuppa and your fifth kitkat?

if you can stand and get the haze, rub your ginger through it to see if it removes them, i get them after washing but i think its a waxy residue on my towel that wont come off. so use megs last touch on the bodywork to remove it....

Ginger hey??? ;) LOL. I'd try some Auto Glym super resin polish. Its cheap, give it a go, it does reduce marring. I remember i washed my old Cup with a sponge and chamoied it down. Sun came out and it looked all hazy and w**k. An hour or so later with some SRP, job done. :)
