Im after a 26" hdtv for my room as its not the biggest rooms so dont want it over power the room so i cant go any bigger

Im after 1 that has the 1080p resoultion as i hear this is the best kind hav,can anybody recommend one for me please?

dont think you can get 1080p 26" TV's!

Whoever told you that the higher the resoultion the tv is the better it is is a idiot!

To help you decide tell us what you wish to do with the tv? SD, HD, PS3, Xbox 360 or PC/Laptops?

hmm as already said it is pointless unless you are watching it on a big screen.... If you are going to use it for PC then yes get a high res, but on that kind of size it will look silly.

please let me convince you on this,
The bigger the screen, the more it will have to stretch the picture to fit. its easier to explain this using a 32inch plasma, as you probably aware there are thousands of cells per every line (average guess around 10000, as im not sure but the exact number doesnt matter). These cells needs to be split between each of the 1080 pixels, which will make it about 9 and a half cells per pixel. If you double the screen size it means a larger surface area per pixel which means your gonna see each pixel as a big block (macro blocks). If you shrink the size of the TV the better the quality will be....
simple as.

thanks for all the feedback its been great help to answer woodentops question its basically to run my xbox 360 in hd.

Ivce seen the 26" lg one which caught my eye, and verdicts? or other suggestions
