Head Gasket Vs HeadWork

i was thinkin if someones head gasket goes its normally say £300 to put on a new one, but dont most places charge that to do head work (port, pollish, skimmed etc) and wouldnt they fit a new gasket ne ways?

or is this bein dumb

they charge that to do headwork, but usually you give them a head and £300ish and they give it u back!

Then ull have the labour on top to remove the head and re- fit it with new head gasket! prob another couple of hundred or so!

yup tis true, headwork is around £300 just for the work on the head, not the actual removal and refitting...
