Head unit & battery

Car  Clio Billabong 1.2
Recently my car hasnt been starting.
I've figured it's the battery, as when I charge it, she turns on fine.

I think it may be my head unit (Alpine IDA X001)

I don't know if it's been wired up properly, which may leave it running while the engine is off.
I always take the head unit face off over night etc, but even when I do this the battery still goes flat.

Is there a way to check the on/off wiring? What would be making it stay on?

Is there a specific wire which turns the whole unit off when the car is off?

Im sure the headunit won't be running then, or drawing enough power to run down your battery! Have you got a seperate amp and sub set up?

I have an amp, but one of my speakers has blown so I took the amp out, but the wiring is still in. And that's it.

I don't know what else would be draining it?

This happened to me yesterday

I installed an Alpine ida-x300 and then played around with it for a bit and then it wouldnt start!!
