head unit front panel problem

my jvc head unit has started popping off by itself whilst i have been driving and it turns out the plastic part on the inside of the face panel which clips on to a hook to hold it in place has broken so it wont stay locked. its so annoying cos i spent quite a bit of money on it and now have to have it stuck on with gaffa tape!! anyone got any ideas how i could fix it???

take the unit apart and replace the spring,dont do so if its still in warranty,if it is,send it back!
