Head unit help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got a alpine CDA 9821RB headunit and just bought myself an i-Pod adaptor (KCA-420i) connected it all togeter but can someone please tell me how do you browse the files??? on you i-Pod you can search Artist's- Albums etc..... well how can you do that on your head unit????? all I can get up is 25 most played, recently added ect.....

The only thing that adaptor will give you is direct play through your head unit.
Its a converter that makes your Ipod look electrically, like an AI Net accessory (like the changer)

On my alpine head unit I just push the quick search button which is on the left of the head unit to scroll between album search, artist search, playlists etc.... I can't find your head unit mate so I can't tell you. I can only find a CDA 9812RB.

Hi gents

I used to run an alpine CDA-9833 with the adapter.

if you hit preset 1, 2, or 3 before hitting search, you can search by artist, album or playlist (not sure on order).

The manual does have this listed, but it's not all that clear from memory.
