Head unit searching for stations

I have the original 182 head unit, the tuner list one and whenever I turn the radio on, it stays on the station I want for about 20 seconds and then switches to search mode. It then goes back to the same station as if it has found a better frequency. I have set it to manual and it still does the same thing. The frequency it is set to if fine and I just want it to stay where I put it.

Any ideas?

hold down SRC or it might be expert on yours, then turn 'af' off.

On the stalk by pressing the on of the upper two buttons your radio will switch between Manual/Preset/List just set it to preset and then save the stations you wish to have saved.

Thanks for the replies guys, but it is set to manual and af is off, I think it might be a fault rather than a setting.

Tried it on preset as well. Still no joy.
