Head Units< Any good? Connect2

Hi,
Could anybody tell me is it worth putting this headunit in my car as its laying around at home or shall i buy a better one?
Also Could anyone give me a link to a connect2 Adapter so i can use the steering column controls still.

That will be a good replacement, not bad for a Philips.

Do you know anything about the adapters to keep the stalk controls?

I bought alpine head unit from halfords for my 182 which states steering wheel controls ready.
They said can definitely keep controls just need to buy adapter, after buying 4 adapters and 2 wasted journeys which they ordered none fitted, they now say there isn't a adapter available to fit.
I got refund on adapters of course, just payed for one then halfords ordered further 3 but none of them fit.
If I knew that I wouldn't of bothered....... at least can connect ipod, phone and usb now tho

Yeah I would like to know also so can buy right one.
Halfords reckon things changed from 05 plate cars which is why there harder to get one that fits???

Nope! That's why I've never bothered buying one. Just completely removed the radio stalk and put a blanking plate in it's place. Now I use my left hand to control the stereo instead of my right hand

Would i be able to put the new head unit in temporarily and still use it at get the adapter at a later point? or would i still need and adapter of some sort?

Get the alpine lead...is costs though. but worked first time.
I was faffing about with other leads aswell....and finally the audio shop gave up.....

Yeah they gave up in end saying none must fit.
Where's best to get alpine lead from bud, it definitely fit

I got it from a french site of all places.....Dutch importer said it wasn't available. .....

See if I can dig it up
