Headgasket

I have had my car up for sale for a couple of weeks now, and i finally found a buyer who was willing to pay cash. Everything was perfect, and now my car is loosing water daily (cant see any leaks). Im not that clued up on cars but im guessing its the headgasket? The car is only on 60k so it was a bit of a surprise.

I have tried doing a search on here to find my answer, but how much roughly would it cost to fix? It a mk 1 ph 3 (1997) 1.4rt, and is there anybody on here that would do it for cheap who live near me? im in the yeovil, taunton area!

There was a lad on here complaining about similar syptoms and he thought it was the head gasket, turned out to be something else. His user name is patrick_g46. Give him a message see what he says.

Could be headgasket could be waterpump, could be split pipe.

You got bubbles when you start it in the header tank or oil in the header tank?

Does it smoke white aswell?

Have you had the cambelt/waterpump done yet

cheers, i have pm'd patrick_g46. There are no other symptons, no white smoke etc...
I havnt personally had the cambelt/waterpump changed as i have not had the car that long!!i dont know about the previous owners
