headlights gone mad!

Right, after a drive yesterday night, when i got home i obviously switch my headlights off but the headlights were still on even though i turned the switch to "0". So now i have headlights on in 2/3 the 3 settings. (1st and 3rd setting at 2nd is side lights if you get me) And when i turn the ignition off, the driving beams disappear but as soon as you start the engine, the lights come back on again... :S

Is there anyway i can get my headlights to switch off when its at "0"?

Any suggestions? or what might've caused this problem...?

Mine come on automatically when it's dark. Took me AGES to figure that one out!!

nah, its not the autoheadlights mate. i SWITCHED the headlights off and its still on

How do you switch the auto headlights on or off then?

turn the ignition on then switch the head lights on then off again twice you should hear either 1 or 2 beeps i think 1 beep is auto lights on and 2 beeps is auto lights off but it may be the other way round

Worst case just disconnect the battery and hope it sorts itself out when you reconnect lol

No idea if that will screw the security systems and stereo over though!

right, i just turned the ignition on and the headlights are fine now, but any know what the problem was?? maybe just wires heated up and melted together? (i was thrashing it yesterday for a good 1hour 15mins )
