is the CC on? what happens if you try and use the manual controls? (the small and big fan buttons)? or what happens when you press the demister setting?

well i do what i normaly do and it no longer blows, normaly you can hear it as you turn up the power, the power bars go up on the visual display but no hightning fan noise. could it b a fuse? ive tried pushing all the buttons like demister but thers no noise of it switching to different fans or anything at all wich is normally quite loud. thanks for reply

Simon - you too?? Mine's just done this today. :( Went swimming before work this morning - everything fine. Left the pool and got into the car - no heater fans. :(

Checked the fuses in the passenger door hinge area, but I don't think they apply to the heater fan. I'm assuming the other fuses near the battery could control the heater fan? (I'm an utter n00b with electrics....)

cheers ben that guide is just what i needed. from reading your guide i looked on ebay for a new resistor pack and thers some on ther for a 182 for around £30 so taking your advice i will just go down the route of replacing the whole thing as im not to good when it comes to electronics. thanks alot for your help, hopefully i can get them fixed soon before the winter sets in.

Hi Simon,

Yeh fair enough, a new unit should see you straight...probably Darren too unless he's handy with a soldering iron :)

Fatty....that's my yellow bag and it's not on the engine...it's in the boot. I did the guide on my V6 :)
