Heater problem possbile dealer negligence

Howdy,

On Friday past there i left my cup 182 in for an oil service and pollen filter change to the local renault dealer, now the car was in perfect condition when it went into the garage with everything working but on the way home from the GF's tonight it appears the heater fan isn't working any more!

Now is this just a coincidence or is it possible during the service they have hit a wire or broken something which has damaged the heater in any sort of way.

Is there anything close to the pollen filter they could have possibly hit ? Its the only thing i can think of that has happened.

Would like ppl's suggestions before i give them a call tomorro morning (monday)

explain more about the heater not working? there is a common problem with heaters packing up and its normally a little s£it called a resistor pack that goes wrong. its probably just a coincidence. try the search theres millions of threads on this

the heater fan doesn't work no matter how much i turn the git up lol i have climate control in the car too.

Its starting to annoy me now considering my window is normally frozen in the mornings now! Wiper blades actually froze to the window last night!!!

Sounds like the heater motor is knackered. This happened to mine a few months ago, I had to have a new one installed. I got the part from a smashed up 182 in a scrappy, replaced the whole system which was the easiest way. But if the garage are responsible for breaking it I guess they would have to sort this....

trying to prove that they have broken it may be the problem! lol

im trying to suss whether the fan or a wire runs near the pollen filter that they installed! need it fixed asap, its cold outside lol

Tell me about it, last night when driving home my window wipers froze to the window and the water from the washer jets formed 4 rather large ponds of slush on the window. Have said that it was minus 4 degrees from the reading inside the car.

Need it fixed asap lol

Little up-date! I just went outside and started the car and the damn heater is now working woohoo lol It must be a loose wire or something or the car hates me either way ill be warm tonight
