Heater Problem ? urgent help please !

was after some help dont know if matt ( black ) or fred etc will be able to help. i have the heating on so the thermostat knob is on hot ( 3 o clock ) the fan is on any setting it dosnt matter and the air that is coming out switches from hot to cold with nothing being touched and then returns to hot sometimes ? any ideas what it could be ?

blocked heater matrix, sounds like theres some buildup thats blocking the matrix then and again...

it depends what age your car is... the heat settings on most cars are controled by cable, thus not electronic. but if its a newer car then it could very well be electrical...

could be an air lock in there.

nope, it had all the fluids changed about 2.5k ago by an audi garage.

its the bottle you keep an eye on to make sure your engine has water...

sorted all that tonite , bled the system etc will check on it over the next few days see how things go.

it might be worth pulling the resistor pack off the back of the fan just to check it (its under the drivers side scutle pannel behind the bonnet)

the resistor pack only regulates the fan speed.

think the main problem was little or no coolant in the exspnsion tank to be honest
