Heater resister pack

Hi,

My air con has gone hay wire and I think it is the heater resister pack. I had a look last night at where i was told it was but couldn't suss out exactly the correct component.

Does anyone have any photo's of what I am looking at replacing?

What makes you think its the resistor pack, whats actually up with the air con, ie can you hear the compressor kicking in or is it just not cold enough?

Take the drivers side scuttle panel off, one screw clip and one holding it on the wing, pull it out. Then you'll see it and the fan etc...

You would have thought Reno would have placed such a part, which isn't exactly cheap brand new, in a place where water couldn't get to it.

Dunno Gaz mate its on BrianR's son's 172 but looks that way from the corrosion.

Same with Rover 75/ZTs chaps, right under the scuttle panel, collecting water lol. They've got drain tubes that if you keep clear, the computer doesn't take a bath though.

Where about on the 172's are the drainage areas? I would like to check it to see if any leaves have clogged it up.

There isn't any your meant to have to keep clear.
