Hello from Western Australia

Car  RS Clio 182
Hi all.

Just got a RS Clio 182 - silver with blue GT stripes (weird idea, but looks amusing).
I've seen so many references to this group from the ozRenaultSport site that I thought I'd better join up here to.

I promise to post a photo as soon as the car has four wheels back on :-)

Matt

Hey Matt. Fellow Aussie here but from Sydney. Don't look at the Media section of this forum for too long or before you know it you'll be throwing money at your car.

I imagine your 182 looks a bit like a Fiesta ST (XR4 in Aus) ? lol yep, would look funny.

Come say g'day on OZRS if you haven't already.

Cheers

Welcome mate! I bet there arnt many clio's down there?

Hmm not too keen on the stripes if im honest, the 2 stripes are normally off centre not dead on :(

Welcome mate, have a look in the media section, give you some ideas. The stripes don't really work to be honest.

I did warn you all that the stripes were weird. I guess that's what happens when you buy a Renault from a Chrysler dealer :-P

The good news is that they're only stickers, so I can always change them to the offset stripes you'd expect on a Clio (and it won't look so much like a Ford).
But I don't really care. It's more fun on the inside.

Welcome to the forum m8!

Is going through Chrysler the most direct way to buy a Renault over there? Or did a Renault just happen to be for sale at a Chrysler dealership?

D.

It was just there (second hand, import from the east coast - there's basically no RS cars at the only west coast dealer).
And the Chrysler dealer decided to add the (wrong) stripes for some unknown reason.
Hopefully it kept the punters away - the price was reasonable for a dealer ;-)
